I had a mishap last weekend, where I accidentally hit bypass on my RP1000, which blasted at stupid loud volume! Well, shortly thereafter, my speakers sounded farty. I'm pretty sure it blew the Greenbacks up top, and maybe the V30's below. My amp volume was way up past 1/2, as I use the expression pedal for volume. So, if bypassed, it's the full brunt of the power amp, which, well, about took my head off.
Question is, if I check continuity with an ohm meter, would I get a reading at all? I did buy new speakers, and ironically enough, I now need the G12T-75's, as I know they're good, they werent in the cab. I put those in, and bought 2 new Greenbacks, which is why I was seeking help wiring. I think I've been using it for some time wired incorrectly as well!
I had 2 V30's in there with the Greenbacks, but I think they're fucked too. I just wanted to put a meter on all the bad ones before I dumpster them.
Just waiting for the new Greenbacks to get back up and running..
But, back to my original question.. if I check them with a meter, of course no reading is self-explanatory, but would I still get a reading if they're fucked?
