Hi John,

no, I will install some new pickups and replace the bridge with a (german label) Duesenberg (steel saddles) though. All of them (except the curly, which will be here in two weeks or so) are resonant enough, no need for alu me thinks.

Did you play Alex' new Duesentrieb amp yet?

Let me get this right.. You started a thread a couple of days ago about your new guitar, and before the end of the week, you have pics of TWO new ones

The only downside is the extra maintenance and upkeep costs, seasonal adjustments, strings, parts replacements

I can hear you. My Schecters will stay too, just wanted to have some kind of curly stuff again - and a spare for the Edwards. Well, no problems to justify anything :D

But you are correct - maybe I'm not good enough or too dumb or whatever, but with some searching and luck you can get awesome axes for < 1000 Dollars used and new. Thats amazing - and fills my walls :D

Here's a full pic . . .

Olaf, ABSOLUTELY true... I've had a few fairly expensive pieces from time to time in my collection, but I have more fun tweaking a 'beater', an personally I LOVE To combine a cool axe with just the right setup an PUP combo an getting it to scream.... sometimes a $600 pos that everyone overlooked kicks the SHIT out of a $3000 overpriced pig.... an thats a very good thing....

Well said!! I recently bought an old RG550 for cheap and after a decent setup, that thing not only plays like butter but also SCREAMS!!
