If these people can use the internet to acquire business, they can at least let the people that are supporting them in on what's up with their investment.
+1

also then, they can use the internet and put up a quick facebook page and update those people that ordered...no friending or social shit necessary..hell, even a quick twitter on the shitter would work with most folks.

There's a long-going thread on Sevenstring.org

PM MTech and have him check for your status

http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/luthie ... ad-32.html

you're not alone, I think only 3-4 guitars have shipped

Mine is in "Ready for final clear finish"

I give it another month or two..

Cool. I lost track of that thread and kept looking for it under Dealer/Group Buys.

I was leary to post anything like this over there as the mods will zap shit like that in a heartbeat.

Eh, we'd have just moved it. People like to portray us as Ogres - especially over this - but we'd really like all you guys to get your guitars and be happy with them.

I think the moderation on ss.org is some of the most straightforward and transparent of any forum I have been to. Especially stuff like the public ban list where its stated what happened and why people were banned without needing to resort to speculation. No one else does that from what I have seen.

Thanks. We get a lot of complaints, but it's a huge forum with really only 4 mods, since one isn't on much. It seems like the best way to handle it.

Now, to end the derail, let's hope everything comes out ok for the OP's guitar. Bernie's batting .667 so far.

So I'm not crazy, it was in the Dealer/Group Buys at some point.

I love going to ss.org and was not trying to portray you guys as bad guys.

I would definitely call the guy and demand an ETD, saying 90-120 days and then no communication nearly a year later is just bs any angle you look at it from IMO.

I think the mods over at SS are some of the best, most talented guitarists around whose skills iare only rivaled by their good looks

(I expect rep for that) hahahaha

Wow, so you're blind AND deaf? :D

***UPDATE***
I talked to Bernie today. He called me even though I am on tour in Germany right now. He feels very bad about not returning my emails and was sincere in his apology. He had a guy answering emails for him so he could focus on the builds and the guy basically blew it off. He only found out last week and he is calling customers to talk about their orders. I got the details on my order and should have some progress pics soon as it is oiled and ready for final assembly. I changed pickups from the CL/LF set to Deactivators which he had to order. All is well and I am a happy camper.

Did you pay for the guitar last year when you ordered it?

Had to pay half on deposit last year, other half upon completion.

There seem to be a lot of small business in the musical instrument industry that take money and then take forever to deliver, and sometimes don't deliver at all. I understand issues can arise and this may be a different scenario, but it's as if many of them have no cash whatsoever and fund their "business" with interest free loans collected on orders for equipment that's not even close to being ready for manufacturing.

Probably heard about people thrashing him on the net. At least a thread of shit slinging led to a boot-print on his ass to get him to pick up the phone.

My deposit was less than half of the final price.

That's "better" than some of the deals I've heard about but nonetheless, enough deposits could be a very nice interest free loan.

Glad to hear you heard from Bernie. With any luck he fired "the e-mail guy" and will follow through by communicating with his customers and delivering product.
