Building a clone friedman 4 12 cabinet--

can anyone give me the exact specs of the speakers in that cabinet?? I know v30 on bottom and green on top-- but what ohm watts etc-- example v-30 65 watt 8 ohm-- Thank you

..if you want the cab 16ohm,then buy 4 16ohm speakers.

what watts??? the cabinet says its 170 watt is that to 65 vintage 30 and two 25 green backs??

Celestion V30's are 60 watts a piece.

Greenbacks are 25 watts each

Hey six string,
Just want to say I did this once
I'm handy and can easily do woodworking.
I built a cab to the exact specs of a mills acoustics cab
Used marine grade plywood, steel corners and the exact same internal baffle.
Looked stellar.

But
It never sounded like a mills.
It just sounded ok.

Resale value is also basically 0
I suggest you save up and get a Friedman if that's what you want.
It's the only thing that'll sound like a Friedman.

Are ALL V30s 60 watts or are you saying to use those that are? I put a pair of V30s in the bottom of my EVH 4x12, but can't recall their wattage rating, which would be nice to know withouth having to pull the back off again. My Marshall clone build puts out something like 130 watts and I was wondering if I'm endangering my speakers.

-if its got any 25w greenbacks in it, its effectively 4x25w-(or lowest wattage speaker)-100w cab

-I've built more than one cab, if you take your time and don't cut corners on materials & time, you can build a better than most cab,.....
