No they’re not. Kimmel has said way worse shit about Trump and republicans than Barr did about Jarrett. Who actually does kinda resemble a primate incidentally. In reality Roseanne was being more truthful than Kimmel.
That said, Kimmel’s dumbass fantasy about the shooter being right wing was no worse than shit we saw here or for that matter any number of ridiculous assertions the cows on the view or that Rachel Maddow dude have made over the years. It is rare to cancel a show over someone spinning politics, even if it is blatantly bullshit. I mean Adam Schiff spent a whole year lying through his teeth and they made that piece of shit a senator or something. And it isn’t as if Kimmel was making vile personal comments about Kirk like a lot of the left did.
Either way they are both examples of networks trying to save face when one of their employees say unpopular things.

I was thinking about this the other day, some thoughts:
JK show has writers i'm guessing, probably more than one. If it's like any other scripted hollywood TV show.
Did the writers write the lines that he said?
Was it his job to deliver the lines?
If he thought the lines were inappropriate, does he have the option to refuse to say them?
Or is it his obligation because his job is to read lines off of cue cards?
The entertainment business is wild

Yeah, her sitcom with John Goodman was entertaining, enjoyed that. She just hasn't impressed me since. It seems she tries stuff she shouldn't or it's misinterpreted, thinking specifically of the MLB game where she sang the national anthem, then grabbed her crotch and spit. Big hoopla followed.
