Hell yeah! I saw that and wish I lived closer to do it.

Last I checked Bruce Eggnater is no longer running his class, so looks like KSR is the only game in town for that these days.

nice.
its a bit daunting for me even though i can solder and read a basic schematic.
did they hold your hand when you boot it up for the first time

i would have needed the fire dept in the hallway

how technical was the class. did they break it out in layman terms

Woah crazy cool! I'm local-ish to KSR and never knew this was an option! I'd love to do this.

How does one find out about these classes? Dates, prices, required skill level, etc? I'm very interested in this. Especially since as soon as I sell my UV7 I'm ordering an Orion.

I'm 40 minutes north of Middletown.

All the information is on Facebook, next cohort is October 1st, $3,000, 10 seats available and I only have basic skills soldering skills, went way better than I expected.
Nice! Thanks for the info. I don't have that kind of cash right now, but I'll be on the lookout probably next year for one.

I also don't have a facebook so I'll have to keep my eyes open.

Sweet amp and I'm glad it went well! Thanks for the info!

Very cool. How much input/discussion did you have with the circuit? For instance, would you describe the tone you were going for and they would get you in the ballpark for the correct components? Forgive my ignorance, I know almost nothing about the inner workings of an amp.

Port City amps was doing classes...I was about to sign up for an 800 style build and it was cancelled. I read online he had a medical emergency so hopefully he's doing ok.

I've been using a Port City 2x12 OS for years, badass cab.

Had to look them up but looks like they're in North Carolina.

Not any closer to me but slightly higher chance I'm down there for vacation than Ohio for KSR.

All the components and circuit boards were provided, then we built the amp. We had no input or discussion about the circuit, the design belongs to the company.
soooooo they charged to let you build one with guidance or broke down the logic etc? If they're TEACHING thats dope... if they're charging $3k for you to make it.... little different. Happy for you though dude, seem pumped.
