I believe that Dave gets his cabs from Scumback, but you should email Dave for the specifics. In any case here is the Scumback cabinet page:
http://www.scumbackspeakers.com/cabinets.html

I think a lot of the boutique builders are actually sourcing their "signature" cabs from Mojotonehttp://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/cabinets-vintage-british-style, here in North Carolina. Much cheaper to go direct and you can spec the cab the way you want it.

1st off I don't get my cabs from Scumback. 2nd I definitely don't get any of them from mojo either. Just to clear that up. I have a new website launching in a few weeks that will have all the cabs on it.

Word.

Thanks for the clarification Sir :salute:

grab a used 1960 lead and load it with vintage 30 and 70 or 100 in x shape, call it a day!

May just use my Fryette D412, see how that sounds first and foremost.

hey unc mo,
of course try what u have first.
sounded like u had no cabs to try with.
If your short, i'll send ya 1-3.

run mine into and Orange 4x12 (sounds great) but would like a Friedman 4x12 or 2x12 (sound greater)

I use my Marsha with a CAA 2x12 with a pair of M75s and it sounds huge...it can easily hang with any of my 4x12s. The CAA crushes all of the other 2x12s that I've tried...so many I could never remember all of them (Mesa, Marshall, VHT, Orange, Bogner, Fender TM, and many more).
Better sounding than the Bogner OS ??

Wow!
Without a doubt. The Bogner was good but sounded nowhere as big as the CAA. That said, they had different speakers, but I can't imagine any other speakers in the Bogner making that much of a difference. The spread of sound and tight low end of the CAA is so far beyond any other 2x12 that I've tried its really not even a competition. I've never tried a Port City though...I've heard good things about them.

I just got one of the Friedman 2x12's with Celestion Lynch-Back speakers in it - went from an Orange 4x12 to the matching Friedman cab and love it. Plus the ease of moving it around compared to the 110lb Orange 4x12 is a lot better. Of course the sound is all that matters really and it sounds effin great. Cab resembles the Bogner Oversize 2x12 with the salt & pepper grill cloth and same/similar input jack on back. Not sure if these are made by folks that make the Bogner cab or not but regardless - the Friedman one is solid.

55 or 75Hz?

I am fairly sure they are putting the 75's in there. But, I have not opened the cab up since I got it about 6 months ago. It's that good that I haven't wanted to mess with it.

Steve

I looked into this. The HW cabs come with Heritage 55's.

Yep, 55Hz. They sound great.
