Any Idea's on what the main problem could be. I try to replace the 500m fuse in the back but when I turn it back on it blows. This is my fav amp modded years ago to a VH 1 Sound. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.Joej

do you have any experience retubing/ rebiasing amps? if so cool...

Just open the amp up before you power it back up again.... Put one hand in your pocket with the other inspect the inside of the amp look to see if anything is burned up inside, inspect the screen resistors on the power tubes .... but first check your output tubes and see if maybe they are shorted or burned out... i'd suggest replacing them, then put the correct rating / type of fuse back in and give her a rip...where are you located? let me know if you need help or if you want to drop the amp by ....

I have Inspected inside and all looks good but just in case I even changed power tubes and pre amp tubes. The Small 500m amp fuse keeps blowing right when I turn on the amp and dis engage the standby switch. I fear the Transformer.Joej

could be the tranny.... not that bad honestly, try to find an older marshall tranny and you should be ok ....

Turns out it was the Power tubes. Had the Testing Procedures Backwards. Any suggestions for Self Biasing? Thanks.Joej
