i would be missing a JMP and $1500.

Geez we were that close!

Imagine never having to hear you play, and talk about Dave Fryman of Rock Systems.

I'd settle for a meme moratorium.

There are still 11 people that were never made whole. Mark flaked out on Brad and Dave, and they then stopped production on anything Cameron branded. Mark started up again in 2014, promising to get those guys their amps...that didn't happen either. So I'm 99% sure the number of CCVs owed is 11, this DOES NOT account for amps (Marshalls) sent to Mark for mods that were never returned.

I think the original number was 14, and Brad/Dave got CCVs to the first 3 on the list, so it's now 11 as far as I know.

From 2008 to 2011 i researched who to send my amp to get mods, my common sense told me to avoid MC with a 10 foot pole but people continued to rave about him just like now despite the fact that peoples cash & amps were being sent to Mark never to be seen again. If it wern't for people being honest here posting about his bullshit i would be missing a JMP and $1500.
..

you researched who to get an amp mod from for over three fucking years? how long does it take to buy a car? lol

I'm just busting your chops bud - struck me as funny

I would get a Ceriatone Yeti or Chupa

Great build and sound quality amps along with being well priced

100% agree.

I've got Friedmans, Bogner, Diezel, even a Cameron CCV and my Yeti always impresses me. You cannot beat it for the money. It's sort of Cameron-like, with the two gain controls and bright switches.

Have had all the Friedmans (and currently have a BE), but yeah... for the money it's hard to beat Ceriatone. I had three of them and I still miss the Chupacabra. Don't miss the loop though. Mine sucked and I couldn't run FX through it. Still... I'd buy that amp back for the right price. But I've been interested in the Yeti for a while.

I ripped the Ceriaclone loop out of my newly aquired Yeti (It sucked tone and hummmmmmmed) and replaced it with a Metro Zero Loss. Fixed the issue. I then took out the Zero Loss and just went with a insertion loop as it will work with rackmount equipment and really is zero loss as I do not use pedals. About to redesign the preamp and pots to match the CCV original spec.

As for a lot of this. Build your own damn amp. You can peel away any goop any of these builders use and even have a conversation with many of them including Mark. Might be amazed at what you can learn or what he may teach you. In fact take it and evolve the tone. That has always been my way.

This thread is about who builds amps like Cameron. Well IMO no one. I have 2 BE 100's a Cameron "Cantrell" A Yeti about to be CCV and my own builds off of Marks circuits. Each amp sounds different.

As I said a conversion to CCV channel 2 is my Project sitting in my studio now. But here is my take on Mark's one off "Cantrell". He has been nothing but kind and helpful to me. Thanks Mark.

Good luck and peace to all.

-whoa!!-

- -

-that's the same amp? the same one from last week?? that tone kick's -FUCKIN- ass!!!. By far the best CERICLONED I've ever heard!!,... by a million mile's!!!..

-Great playing David-(your vibrato still pisses me off)-but I already knew you could wail, so,... new trannies?

Just grabbed the Cameron Mig 100 yesterday. The thing about the Cameron's to me are A. The low end is always TIGHT no matter how much you dial in, and B. The feel is very unique and makes the amp VERY easy to play without sacrificing tone. No other builder/modded amp I've played can quite get it right. I've played or owned them all. The C+ feel is the only other amp that I can say has its own unique feel. Original, not the JP2C mind you.

Hey SG Thanks but that is a 50 watt Plexi I converted into Marks "Cantrell Mod" All tube...

OR......you can get a majic box filthy lucre pedal and use whatever amp you have and be done with it. Sounds close enough to my ears to alleviate the fix I feel I need on the Cameron side of sound.

No doubt...I just converted a Yeti over to a closer spec of the original CCV...This Ceriaclone Yeti just seriously got upgraded. I feel like Dr Frankenstein when he said "It's Alive, it's alive!" Mark's ear is pretty damned sharp. Nothing like all the peices to make the puzzle complete.

I will say it again though the Aldrich is not my cup of tea (and I have owned a couple of the ones mentioned on this thread) if you want a Cameron then saveyour money and get a Cameron. Peace. ♪
