Can't stand FB groups

Facebook is a necessary evil if you’re a gigging musician. It’s the easiest way to get people to your gigs. Winery, Brewery, Club, Venues demand that you have it. I play solo these days ( more money less drama ) but I would never gig with someone in a band that don’t have Facebook.


Facebook is like any forum like TGP, Rig Talk etc.etc. It’s no different. You have to tread lightly and not stir up people or you’ll get in trouble. You also need to learn to ignore the wackos. If you can’t ignore them just unfollow them but keeep them as freinds. This way you don’t see the nonsense but they still see your gig postings.

I’d say it’s very different. You have to really go out of your way to get banned here, not only criticize vaccines or immigration. On Facebook simply having a non corporate opinion will get you banned. I understand needing to use Facebook for work but damn it’s pathetic.

This, unfortunately. I'd have joined years ago otherwise... apart from the data collection and so on.

Well yeah I got the Rig Talk part wrong but TGP, Facebook and pretty much any forum you need to tread lightly IMO.

Rig Talk is like the Wild West. I know there’s a Sheriff here but I think he’s drinking in the bar with all the Prostitutes ignoring everyone getting shot outside ( did I just get banned ? )

Every fucking group I'm in, I end up getting banned. This little fucking pansy asshole in a DJ group sends me a message. "next step is a ban!!!!" Because I said the word shit in a post. I told him to come to my house and tell that to me to my face. I then asked him when the last time he checked to make sure his fire extinguishers were good at his house, LOL. BANNED!!!! and now I'm not allowed to post for 48 hours. Sniffle Sniffle. I'm a cyber bully guys. What a fucking pansy ass word. Cyber bully. Wonder what little spineless poor excuse for a man made up that term. Probably a whole bunch of them in a meeting jerking each other off before hand, then giving Clarence a big pat on the ass for coming up with that.

I can't stand these little pansy ass mother fuckers. I wish I could have 5 minutes alone in my basement with them. I don't know how to just let it go. The illusion of power these little fucks have just angers me to no end. That's why I love this place. If the mods have an issue with me, they'll talk to me like a man.
