Thanks. I had a ton of parts for that thing by that point....lotta specialty items. The X pipes were hard to find and expensive, the aircraft aluminum struts, digital ignition. I custom made that rear fender then an unpholstery shop did the metalflake seat but I built the pan for it too. Overall everything was so much cheaper to put together back then. I think I had maybe $2200 into that bike.

I never was too into bikes, but I've had a few cool cars in my life. Fabbed a lot of parts I couldn't source legitimately or financially. These days I'm sort of over the "muscle car" thing, but not necessarily the speed thing. In fact I'm looking at an '05 AMG right now that has over 15k in aftermarket shit under the hood, extremely clean, 580 something HP, supercharged 5.4L. 24k. It's a great price, but it's a sedan. I'll find the right one sooner or later.

I wouldn't mind something I could cruise with the old lady in but my "stuff" days are kinda past me and not just cause of finances. Just got tired of taking care of it. In my early 30's, had a bunch more guns, ammo, and literally a ton of lead at that place. I got rid of almost all of it. The bike stuff too. Had a Yamaha Blaster for a while, sold it in '15.....Just don't give a shit anymore. I dunno, once I had it, I just didn't care about it after that like I used to. Kinda content with my few guitars and some amps and a couple horns.🎺

I just kinda changed shit I wanted. I kept my guitars, basses and my two favorite amps and got rid of the rest. I’m whittling down the guns to just the ones that mean something to me or that I actually use ( except the shotguns, those ain’t going nowhere). I’m really enjoying driving my car and I think I’d enjoy it more if it would run a quarter in under 11 seconds. 🫠

Lol. I haven't even been down to the bottom of the hill in a couple weeks. Pretty much just leave the house for gigs and that's about it. I mostly like hanging out with the old lady and taking turns playing our instruments. Too bad gigs seem more sparse than ever. Not sure what the future holds. We been cutting back the guitars and "stuff". Half of the big items like couch and bed are just throwaways. If I move it'll be the easiest move since I was 18. The problem is when I look at places to move none of it looks all that appealing anymore. Clown world.

Kids and grandkids dont like when I shutdown the phones at the kitchen table. I wouldn't have a phone if the wife didn't insist on it...
Me and the old lady just eat supper on the couch. Dilapidated piece of crap sitting up on 6x6 blocks for us tall folks. If you spilled a plate of spaghetti on it wouldn't matter. Kinda nice actually. Laid backville. Our rule is no news, politics, or phones during supper. Music and conversation only.

That sounds like the way brother. We dont talk politics here at all, zero phones, just the day, and future thoughts. Times are simple around here.

Agreed. We gotta nice place on about six acres but central Texas is kind of like a zoo now. Not sure I want to be here for another decade. I just don't know what the right move is anymore. When we were renters the decision was amazingly easy "we're moving" LOL. Now that we own, everything has changed.
