Interesting. I hear the opposite. The Raven sounds a bit more fizzy to me, most celestions do. I like it, but has a bit more hair on it.

I like hairy, that's why I think I prefer Celestions. Gritty , hairy, ratty high end.

just changed headphones to be sure. it's a bit different but the karnivores still hype the fizz at freq i don't care for.
the ravens have now more hair than the V30s with this set, before it was the opposite.

Sounds very similar to Eminence Karnivore to my ears.

Karnivores are very similar to a V30 to me but they have extended highs and lows. The mid range that people dont like on V30s is a bit smoother on the Karnivore. I really like V30s so it doesnt bother me much, but the raven has that fizz/hiss that I hear in K100s too.
