What's your fave and fave combo of mix and match to use.

My fave is the GreenBack MIC. It's just friggin great. Close second maybe the Creamback/V30/70th Anni G12H-30.

Greenback is an amazing all rounder and my main squeeze for years but lately been getting good results (recording I mean) with the Creamback 75. Bright but not harsh and great for making a rock tone be more mix ready on the top end. Another favorite has been the F70 from Fane. Helps tame sizzle on Recto’s and other high gain amps.

Much better than Eminence, LOL.

I love V30's in almost any shape or form. Mesa, Chinese, Marshall, all sound good to me under different applications. My favorite recording cab is a Mesa Rectifier oversized, but in the room, I love a Marshall 1960AV or 1960AX. Those record well too.

Which leads me to my second favorite, the Classic series Greenback. I've also tried and liked the EVH/Heritage, but the Classic series just has a certain high mid aggressiveness that I prefer.

The Creamback M is also nice. The Creamback H I could give or take. On some amps it works well. On others, it can be too sizzly and thin.

The ones that I tend not to like are the ones with the large dustcap like the T-75 or the Classic Lead, but they can be made to work. They're just not my first choice.

I've also got a Gold in my Krank 1x12 that sounds really nice for being in such a small cabinet.

Of the ones I've tried I really love all of these fairly equally for different things. If I had to pick a favorite though it would be the 55hz G12-65's. Enough depth and headroom for gorgeous cleans, enough edge for rock, enough balls for metal, and a 4x12 of them them pairs amazingly well with my Hiwatt DR103.

'80s G12-65 55hz
Heritage G12H30 55hz
Early '90s Marshall Vintage (OG V30)
Early '90s G12H100
'80s G12-65 75hz

The original Marshall vintage v30s are still the best . But for 8 string and low tunings I really love the Chinese v 30s . I actually love them fr
Original...but, which version? Big difference between my fav, the original 8 ohm 80s versions, and the much brighter post 1991 to today versions. The vintage versions I have sound like a better version of a vintage G12 65.

Different strokes……I personally can’t stand G12-65’s. That includes some original 75hz, the Heritage reissue, Scumback BM-75LD, and Weber 1265. All are just flat and dull to me. I’ve tried over and over to like them due to hype.

My favorites speakers in order are the current UK Greenbacks, Fane 30’s, Fane F25’s, and any variant of Celestion V30 (I can make all of them work with some EQ.

Yet another guy with no time on his hands to complain about ...... whatever.

I'm a gear geek....

On a gear geek forum..... how strange Scooby-Doo!?!?!?
Yeah...that's it.

🤔

Sick burn.

I'm just saying saying if you think Eminence is better than decent.......

Its like saying RC Cola is your jam. It's okay but let's face it...... Celestion is the standard and the real Coke/Cola.

Enjoy RC Cola if you like it but I'm drinking real Cola/Coke ^_^

I recently got some K100s, and I am liking those, and the T75s.

I have had V30s for years, but that nasal honk has started getting on my nerves.

I want to try more Eminence speakers. The ones I have seem to have deeper, cleaner low end and less fizzy mids compared to Celestion.

I'm all in on the F70s..
It's what you're used to..
I have a 412 of V30s from Avatar I've had for a long time.. They are Helatones which are beaten up and broken in..
I plugged in the other day and
they
are
so fuckin' bright and spikey..
It's good to have different speakers for perspective..
