yeah, I saw the volume thing in the manual, it's plenty loud for me, just have to turn master up to 2:30 ish in 80s and 3:30 for metal-the bright switched really boost the volume/gain too. I'm retracting my dislike of the bright switches, they seem suited for the boosted modes and I think my ears were tired after 90 minutes of blasting. I just played for a few before work and the brights bring it alive. Very early in the honeymoon, but I like it.
Same here has tons of options in this amp and it can do a lot of different tones which is cool  Liking it a ton so far

There is a huge volume difference when changing modes, the 60s is WAY louder and it goes down as you change modes-this can be kind of cool as I'll use amp in my living room where the ability to play quietly is a good option if late at night(may replace soultone with power scaling). . This can be overcome by CRANKING the master like 3:00+
dislikes(so far): bright switches add a ton of brightness and "brittle sound", there may be a function for one of these, I just didn't find it yet..

The manual states that this will happen when using the era-switch... :)
This is due to the diodes. They "clip" the signal to increase saturation. That how the Jose style master works. This is why a lot of people prefer 100 watts over 50 since they are needing/wanting the extra power due to the clipping.

Exactly. Although I don't know how much of a difference a 100 watter would make as it's still the nature of the circuit; I suppose it could help it quite a bit.

The "brittle sound" does go away but at much higher volumes. Not something I enjoyed while gigging my Madison Square Basement   I had a 50 watt one. Still a fun mod though. Sounds like Ceriatone has done it right.

Clips and gut shots would be excellent to tide me over until mine comes. ;)

FYI, Nik followed up with a couple emails, making sure I was happy. He also gave me some tips on the bright switches and settings-Killer customer service, great experience ordering from him.

Better than the Splawn? ;)

We guys I got to visit the Ceriatone today and first off the quality from the handle to the rubber feet is top notch, the point to point turret board is perfect, the wiring and the quality of the parts is excellent. The quality of the build can rival any builder out there period. The amp is very well laid out, did I tell you I was impressed by the amp yet???? I didn't have a whole lot of time with it to tinker with all the knobs and switches as Vince was on a tight schedule but the clips on the Ceriatone site don't do it any justice, this amp has bite. Without a doubt the amp performs well above it's cost. Nik at Ceriatone really did a great job.

Thanks Art. Now look what you made me do....I got a 100W head arriving in 4 weeks.

Paul I think you will really like it, as we all know tone is subjective but it can hang easily with any of the Big Dogs.
