Hey guys, don't know if you all watched James' shootout prep video, but he's playing the Chupa at the end and it sounds great! (although the volume is clipping the camera mic, still you get a sense of the sound)

chupa around 14 minutes
  Nice.....Love my Chup....Great amp

Yeah, I just saw that video. It sounds REALLY good. Definitely my next amp when I have a grand to spare.

That sounds really good, even with the clipping. That shootout is gonna be epic. I had a Sovtek Mig-60 I sent to get modded by the guy from the James Lugo clips from the 1st shootout. Don't regret it one bit.

I can't quit watching the end of this video now.  It sounds really awesome! I like how James is startled when the volume jumps when he flips the era switch.

Yeah that Chupa Grabbed my attention!

Love to play around with one of them for a while! :D

any bets on how many days til Lynch is playing a wall of chupacabra's ?

Part 3 of Lugo's amp shootout setup video has more Chupacabra in it. And it sounds pretty damn sweeeeeet.

I've been playing it everyday and getting use to it. Cool amp:

FYI.....Chupa is about 6:55 in

Sounds killer...thanks for sharing James!

Looks like you guys are going to have a blast! I seriously can't wait to hear the Henning. I bet it is going to KILL.

why is James selling the Ceriatone?

maybe it scared him when he flicked that switch during the jam?

All modded amp guys base some of their amps on a Marshall. Marshall has the most copied amps in the world. And now we acuse and amp builder, Ceriatone who bases all their amps on marshall and fender of copying a marshall copy cat? That is ironic as hell! Especially since no one cares that the big guys in the industry got copied for decades and decades!!!

This case reminds me of the new slash signature AFD a copy of a copy
You just forgot that the first marshall was a copy of a Fender Basman from 1959 and the first Mesa Boogie was a modified Fender amp

Hey guys,

I really do need your advise. At the moment Im playing a Marshall 6100 and even though I love the cleans and the crunch the lead tone is not really that great. Im really digging the Ceriatone marshall clones, but do not really have the opprotunity to try one. So Im kinda stucked in the decision of which one to get. The amp Im looking doesnt have to have great cleans, Im thinking about having a 2-Amp-Setup, one for clean and one for crunch nad distortion.

I want to play stuff and have similar tone like Slash, Metallica, John Frusciante, Hendrix, Gary Moore (love his lead tone, so smooth and thick) and Alter bridge (especially Marks Rhythm Tone). So I want to go from some nice crunch to heavy Rhythm and lead tones. Im really getting into using the volume knob to control my tone and hence I want an amp that can clean up REALLY well and go into crunch and even clean territory when rolling back and then by rolling the volume up again and kicking in a clean boost getting into the heavy stuff. Is this possible with the chupa or do I actually need two amps or at least a 2-channel amp for this?

Hope you can help.

Best regards, Timo

Talk to Dave Friedman about one of his Marshall mods. You can send him a clone amp if you want too. He can get you everything you're after in one amp.

Really? What could Dave do (actually heaven't heard of him, but just saw that guys like Slash and van halen were his customers) that I could not ask Nik to for me (from what I hear he is willing to include modify his amps when building)? When you say he can get my everythin I want in one amp, do you mean just the distorted sounds or also the clean sound?

Best regards,
Timo

The short list would be "what can't he do" Dave is a work in process kinda fellow, in the constant pursuit of tonal perfection

There are very few people in the world of guitar I would trust like Dave .... he is the man.
