Surely someone with enough $$ to buy all these amps has 100$ to spend on a sm57 and audio interface to record some proper clips?

It's not a matter of $$, some just don't want to bother with it I'm guessing.

I did the best I could with what I had. I have many 57's, they are just not at home and I dont have access to the studio right now. That + 10 hour days make for a dull boy once I get home. I will post a proper 57 recorded clip asap...Steve

 I hope you didn't think I was complaining.. I am def. very appreciative of the clips soo far but they just make us want more! I also find that camera recorded clips cause heated debate over and over again. With the mic atleast, you can't argue placement or quality (as much)

Looking forward to a review on the 100 watter as well.

I played mine with the band at practice yesterday, and it was quite different than the living room low volume wanking I was doing. Had trouble dialing it in and had to whip out my Tophat Emplexador to save me. I admit I didnt spend much time trying to dial it in, but the pressure was on to get moving and I had to bail on it. Im bummed.....but Ill report back later.... The Tophat....BTW, not to go too far off base here, but it was fuckin awesome! You dont think of a Tophat being a heavy rock/metal amp...but that amp can lay it down in spades.

Just talked to Nik and my 100w head should be here in about 2 weeks.

I played the Chupa today. Great amp. Tons and tons of gain. Didn't sound like a Cameron CCV at all. It sounded more like my old Jose. A big thanks to Vince and Art for stopping by...
You gonna put your order in?

the Emplexador is one of my favorite Marshall type amps. It does everything exceptionally, needs a boost to do metal, but man what an amp! I'd take it over any of the modded Marshalls I've owned/played (Cameron, Suhr, RockStar, Wilder). I can't imagine the Chucanobyaablobya would top one
It might not....you could be right. The Tophat is way under the rader on this board for sure.....dont think ive ever even heard it mentioned? But what a great amp. First time I played it with the full band and it shined. I havent given up on the Chupa by a long shot. Im gonna take her apart and check everything out and make sure everything is working as it should....then throw some new old stock Mullards in the power section and some early 70's Sylvania 12AX7's in the pre, rebias and see how it goes. More practice on wed/thurs so im hoping for the best.

Can't wait to hear your review, you have pretty much owned all the modder's amps so you should have an idea what is up!

To go from the biggest cats in the biz to this has to say something!
