Nice to hear the plexi mode on these switchers can deliver as well.. it's a tall order to make something sound plexi-ish so i am guessing they are more like a JMP (due to the master volume) and he switches from a modified 2204 circuit into a hot rod channel then goes from there tweaking with Jose Master diodes type of deal. Is that about right? Doesn't look like the Yeti or Chupa had an extra preamp tube.

Yeti/Chupa are based on a one-off build by Cameron, which in turn was based off a Jose mod. All of them are just JMPs with zeners/transistors and a few bright switches. Nothing new. But between the Cameron I had and the Ceriatone I had, I'd choose the Ceriatone. Better build quality. Sounds identical, if not a little better. Less noise too. More affordable as well. FX Loop wasn't as good though. So score one point for the Cameron.

So which one sounds more like a Cameron hg/lg Jose , the yeti or the chupa? And which ones sounds more like a Marshall without being overly dark or bass heavy and modern, chupa or yeti? Thanks

I don't know. I've never played a Cameron HG/LG Jose. I can say that the Yeti and Chupa sound like Marshalls because they are. They're just modified JMP/JCM800 circuits. So either one will get you there.

Just what the world needs…yet another modded marshall clone.

It's a good option for people who want a CCV, but can't get one. Because, you know... Cameron. But yeah... the modded Marshalls are everywhere. And they're all very similar. Quite frankly, the Ceriatone stuff is a great option because of their value and great build quality compared to some of the "gooped" Marshalls out there.

An Affordable good modded Marshall clone is indeed needed, as there are not many

I've had an LG mod (or some variation of it), and the yeti and chupa. The yeti was probably closer, but still a bit different.

The chupa sounds more like a Marshall; it's much more aggressive and less dark than the yeti.

Also, looks like they're putting it on the website now

I asked about the clean channel, and

As for the KK, the clean channel is quite similar to a plexi, with its own dedicated tonestack

It still does have master vol, however.

You can use it as a clean channel by presetting it accordingly

If you crank the controls, it'd break up like a plexi, still.

The other channel is of course the OD channel.
