Not many quality Ceriatone clips of anything out there and especially the Yeti

Sounds awesome!

I think this would be the amp for me except I hear the effects loops are garbage
Already have that issue with the SLO

Have you tried the loop yet?

The loop in the Chupa/Yeti isn't amazing. But it isn't as bad as the SLO by a long shot. As others said, if you're justing a few pedals it works fine. But if you're running a huge setup with racks and floorboards and shit, then you might look to modding it or going with the Metro loop. Personally, all I use is delay. And it worked fine for that.

What's the difference between the chupa yeti and kk?

Chupa is brighter, more aggressive due to the added brightness, and looser. Yeti is tighter, a little bit darker, and Nik says it "cleans up better." But the layouts/schematics are available for both so you can just look at 'em and see for yourself. It amounts to a few component value differences. You can easily mod one into the other.

Sounds awesome.. did you buy it directly from Ceriatone? What was your final all in cost for shipping to Canada? Our dollar sucks right now.

Yes man....the dollar does indeed suck right now! But i bought this off my buddy a few years back...never got it direct.

I got to spend a lot of time with a fellow rig-talker's Chupa and man, what a beast of an amp! Serious value. I can't imagine a modded Marshall type amp getting much better as far as the base tone goes. The loop wasn't stellar but it was still usable and that amp could do everything from plexi to crunch to modern metal.

Buying from here may cut down on shipping, no? http://ceriatoneusa.com/

Yeah I just talked to Nik about this. Here's his response:

"Ceriatone USA is indeed one of our many dealers.

All the amps are build here in Kuala Lumpur, and tested and tweaked to perfection by myself.

It'd be shipped directly to you, from us.

Hope this helps, let me know..

Thanks!"

So basically, you save on shipping a bit because it's a US distributor, but they are still made and tested by Nik himself. Win win if you ask me.
