Charvel Wildcard #8

There have been some guitars in this Charvel series that I have looked at and thought I could never sell them. And then someone walks in and digs them and buys them. It happens everytime. This guitar is not supposed to find 30,000 people to like it. It only needs between 500-1000 in the entire world to like it. And in my experience selling these, this one will sell very well IMO. Do I want one for myself? No.

As for cool flame graphics, flame graphics always sell and this one is an interesting and modern take on a flame graphic. Still though, not for me. These however, I love!

For the guys waiting for Charvel to produce what you want, why dont you just buy one of the 10-20000 USA Pro Mods that are floating around and make it yourself? Sell all the parts you do not want, get the body painted, and there you go. Your own personnel Charvel.

It would be nice to see an "inspired" run

Gary moore White Charvel...with Floyd
Jake E Lee Hard Tail

That will never happen. It goes against the policy of copying an artists guitar that is not under contract. I guess they could change the policy someday.

If what I googled is correct, that's ebony and a kill switch.
yeah, that would make sense considering the ebony trend on the #6 and #7 wildcards. The killswitch makes sense. The 81TW and 89 both have coil tap options though.

I dig it, but would like to see the flame in person. Also not sure I would want another EMG loaded guitar, although I do want to try the JH set.

That is dumb. Especially with artist that have passed way. Gibson and Fender make a killing with artist reissues. They should change that policy before all the people who remember Jake E. Lee or Gary Moore have stopped buying guitars or have passed away.

I hear ya bro but you might be forgetting that there are probably legal issues involved...

I think for an 80s type band, sure flame graphics are cool. For anything else I dunno, really. I remember before I found my black SL2H I tried a couple hot rod flame soloists and was trying to talk myself into them not being that bad. A hot rod KV2T too that sounded really good. Even then, when I was much more into playing metal I knew I didn't want to be that guy on stage with a hot rod flame guitar though, lol. Just IMO though obv.

I picked one of these up this week and I really dig it. Flame looks much better in person than in pics. The neck is great and it has a big,fat tone. Great metal shredder. Fretwork on this one is killer too.

I have had mine for a while and am just not digging the EMG. It plays and feels awesome but that 85 has this clankiness that I cant stand. I have an Aldrich I'll throw in tomorrow

Here's my charvel I just got off a buddy I don't know shit about it except when I played it I was like gotta have. Traded a evh for it. Then had a kill switch put in and a SD jb pickup. Gonna change to el diablo I think.

Thats hott dude.

I finally broke down and got a so cal. I prefer Duncan's but wanted the pickguard for making a h\s setup. Once you steel wool and play the neck for awhile, these are killer for the price. I wanna get a wild card 6 and try the ebony and hard tail. Tell us how you like the diablo, I'm curious about that pickup.

I had one in my Dan donegan schecter that's why I want another amazing pickup. Hot as hell great dynamics sustain forever. Expensive $$$$

Dropped an EVH Frankenstein PU in mine and it's probably my favorite guitar in the arsenal at the moment. Easy to play and sounds like a chainsaw on a lead channel. I mean that in a good way. :D

Exactly! I steel wooled my neck and put some tru oil on it and it kills. I also slapped in an Aldrich and a CTS pot last night and it is just sick

I like everything about it, except: (1) the finish (not into the flames) and (2) the EMG. Give me a solid finish and a SD JB and I'd be good to go with it.
