So do I :D

:inlove: I usually get yelled at here for displaying my pointy collection. It's cuz I'm not in the cool kidz club.
I love 'em...

I love this one, I got rid of the laquer on the back of the neck and it feels so nice.

I have a pointy head 1984 Charvel and just picked up a pointy head Jackson from 1988 yesterday. I still like mids though

I beg to differ. One thing I don't like about their design would be the neck heel. Nevertheless, they are indeed awesome.

  Don't feel bad, they won't let me in either. I use my mids at like 9 o'clock, not enough for Ratt :aww:

We can start our own club and not let any of those other "cool kids" in.

Hell yeah, the pointy headstock no mids guitar club seems like my kind of club

Can I work Weird Mids into there?

Love my Candy Plum SoCal. If I could buy another guitar I'd so grab a white MIJ SoCal.

Strictly on playability, I love my SoCal, but the Suhr M2 is definitely a few steps ahead. Dollar for dollar, however, the ProMods are hard to beat. I'd like to have a white/maple board San Dimas.

And pointy headstocks are awesome.

I love the neck shape and the fretboard radius. The necks are really comfortable feeling...super easy to play.
I dig the hardware and the pickups they're using...it's a killer superstrat, on paper, it's my dream guitar.

I recently bought a So Cal and a San DImas and sold them, I wanted to love them but they're just not for me. :dunno:

Yeah, the old style neck heel blows compared to the contour design used by Anderson or Suhr. And any guitar with a Floyd on it is far from perfect IMHO.

They don't really have those in-between straty tones, my guess that's why they're not for you. I bet if you built an HSS Charvel:
Charvel neck + alder So Cal body
Strat pickguard (with some kind of PAF + good single coils) with a 5-way switch and tone controls.
Chrome floyd (or maybe vintage trem)
That would rule... ;)

Meh, doesn't bother me and I have tiny hands.

Charvel's Rock it!!

I just bought a new '07 pointy that sat in the store until I bought it about a month ago. The darn thing had the same strings all that time. The neck is perfect for all this time as well; no adjustment was needed. Cant believe it!!!!!! I live in a Canada! 4 seasons and all!!! I did lower the bridge a tad and that's it. I still can't believe how good it feels and sounds.
I guess no one likes pointy Charvels up north but I got the thing heavily reduced/sweet deal to the same price as the new wildcard and to me it was a nice step above it.

Great tone machine. Came with a Custom 5 in the bridge, haven't checked what the neck pup is yet.

I still have a San Dimas here. I'd like to just keep the neck.
I've been thinking over the past week that I should disassemble it, sell the parts off individually and just keep the neck to start over with a new body...I know I like the neck, which is a great start.

Even with black hardware, it would still rule. :D

That's funny. I just picked up a black beauty Les Paul, a guitar I've dreamed of. My dilemma is that even though it's awesome and I love it, I keep thinking about the 3 Charvels I could get for that price!

Yeah black is fine, but to my ears chrome floyds sound closer to a vintage fender trem...
I shit you not... LOL! :D

I think that way to...I'll never have over $2000 wrapped up in one guitar, I just can't do it.
It seems nuts to me when guitars jump into that 3 4 5 thousand price range...if you have money to burn, shit go on burn it.

Keep it and put it on a more strat-inspired body... It will RULE!!

Yup.. Same here.. I've been REALLY disappointed by some $2-3K guitars. Particularly super strats.
