Hey Im not sure if anyone here has much knowledge with these things but this seems like a fairly simple wiring issue but im not sure how to solve it. Ive wired a duncan distortion pickup into this CBG with one volume and one tone pot. ive grounded everything as you usually would except for the bridge and strings (when grounded the buzz actually gets worse), but if i touch the metal on my guitar cable the buzz goes away, also if i have the volume cranked and the tone turned all the way down there is no buzz but I'd like to have the tone up as well, so why does the buzz go away when i touch the metal on the cable and what can i do to fix it? by the way i have the same results with different amps and different cables, problem basically only presents itself while i have distortion on.
