I'm sure they can find someone else to play 8th note tonic all night...

I know, you are gonna say that everyone here is butt hurt and cant take a joke.

No problem. That guy playing as you call it, "8th note tonic all night," has done more in his career than you can ever fathom.

Your band is who again ?

lol. proving my (Butthurt) point EXACTLY. Obviously it was a joke. but you making this an attack on ME! and trying to compare ME and a legendary rockstar is the REAL joke.

No, I am not attacking you. The terrorists are attacking, not I.

So now it's officially "Angus Young & Friends".
Glad that I saw them when Phil Rudd, Malcolm Young and Brian Johnson were still all in the band.

I really liked the Bon Scott years. That version played what some musicians might call "simple", but it was a combination of all the band members that made it kick some serious ass.

When it comes to simple versus complicated, the general listening public over-whelminging chooses simple every time.

Just need a good beat with some guitars. I am sold. :D

Add hook and melody to that, and I'm sold, too.

What some musicians don't get, some times simple fits the part better.

Totally! I learned how to play drums and bass in 3rd grade to the Bon Scott years (basically a human metronome for my big brother trying to master Angus's playing). Huge fan of Cliff and Phil for life ;)

I was never an acdc fan until maybe 2 years ago. I don't know if my ears matured but I just came to appreciate it for what it is. Straight ahead rock. It's just quality stuff man

It's never too late

I have to laugh at people talking simplicity when it comes to AC/DC. As easy as it sounds there is nothing easy about it. it takes a lot of talent to pull their stuff off as crisp and clear and precise as they pull it off. That is not a normal style for me so I have a harder time playing it than I do something metal riff oriented. Nobody does what they do as good as they do. End of story.

The line between "witty and clever" and "sarcastic ass" is a fine one...

If you have not seen it, the AC/DC "Let there be Rock" DVD shows that band at their peak, in my opinion. I don't care how many copies of Back in Black were sold. The Bon Scott years will always get my vote.

It comes a time for all bands to hang it up....their time has come

Aerosmith is next

I actually thought Aerosmith had officially stopped touring. I could be wrong

I saw them with Loudness opening on the Who Made Who tour. I was there to see Akira Takasaki, but AC/DC did crush it that night.
