ClintN667 is a Fake and a Fraud

The only thing that is strange about this is that he issued a refund and blocked it. That doesn't track with trying to just steal someone's money. I would love to find out what the hell happened. It doesnt matter if a buyer is an asshole, I am not taking his money, but I would refund it so i didnt have to deal with bs.

And @riffsfordaze I am not thinking you are an asshole, but that seemed to be his story on facebook.
I am 100% hoping you get your money back. Anything short of that is Bullshit.
He offered me the guitar for $1,300, since he told me he was going through a divorce I said hell make it $1,500. Sent $1,500 PP FF October 6th, he messaged thru rigtalk I would get tracking # the next day. At first I messaged him that I was giving him the benefit of the doubt when I didn't recieve the tracking # on October 7th as he claimed he would. No word from him so my messages became threatening. On October 9th he messaged that he would send tracking. Then I see a PP refund which was fine but then he eventually blocked it.

If that is being an "asshole" I'm guilty as charged.

LE will find and charge him soon I believe. They have his address (just need apartment #), school, and place of employment.

Obtaining property by false pretenses is a felony in this case...

The wheels of justice move slowly but they will find his ass soon enough.

If this is worth it for Donald to have a felony on his rap sheet I can go there.

Some Fucking people...

This site has many honest people! I have had excellent transactions with Exometal, Racerxrated, Bxlxaxkxe and Harddriver.

Got an extremely unique Jackson San Dimas Rhoads with Old School Thrash provenance from Exometal that is a once in a lifetime guitar to me!

Man you mentioning him getting a divorce is key here . It can make a man crazy . Still no excuse . But it seems people thought he was a great dude and then boom disappears . I could be wrong but that word caught my eye

Divorce or not he took $1500 dollars from you and did not ship the guitar if he hadn't already pawned it or sold it numerous times to other buyers running a scam.

That is theft.

Of course your rhetoric would be threatening since he was actively stealing your money. I truly hope the police will help but I don't think that will get you your money back will it???????? I doubt if he is going to make it right if he hasn't already done so.

Just an all around shitshow Riffs I'm sorry it happened to you but it just goes to show people can get into a situation where they need money and don't have the morality or ethics to not steal from others.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

I was not saying it’s an excuse . But I’m sure it’s played a part in his thinking . Is he alive do we know ?

Riffs for days needs his money back . I was just saying he disappeared in the middle of a divorce .my guess .

Ok . I missed that
Legal might have put a stop on all sales from either side. Divorce is a BITCH. Anyway it can’t stop you from talking to any other people so shame on him. My concern is that he might not be able to respond. As I said. Divorce is a bitch and can sometimes lead to bad events. Would suck if he was hurt or worse.

This actually could be the issue here. Not saying it is. But one scenario is, if there is an ongoing divorce case, the guitar could be being claimed as community property — as in both ClintN667 and his wife claim equal ownership. That may preclude ClintN667 from selling it outright.

In this instance, the funds could also be tied up on his end until the financial aspect of the divorce is settled.

So that is a theory. However, it does not absolve ClintN667 from letting riffs know exactly what is going on. That’s 100% on him.

There is a possibility riffs may wind up having to sue to get that money back. I’d sue both him and wife.

However, if you sent a demand letter to their attorneys on each of their behalf, that may be enough to get your money back —if this whole thing is indeed the case

This is him on Facebook if anyone wants to hit him up
Be careful saying stuff like this... This looks like you are giving him reason to have police investigate you for doxxing or harassment.
you could probably file a small claims suit for conversion
This

I would have to fly across the country for that to happen.
Why? If you were home when you sent the money, you should talk to your local PD and let them deal with the other jurisdiction, right? Wouldn't the charges be filed in your local jurisdiction regardless of the seller location? Wouldn't they need to put a warrant on him to appear? This whole thing sounds fishy.

I'm many states away. His local jurisdiction will deal with him. I told LE I sent him threatening messages. I have nothing to hide.

LE in his jurisdiction can charge him with "Obtaining property through false pretenses" a felony in this case. They can serve his ass with the charge. That's how he would have to appear. I would have to fly out for the court date.

Your Damn Right this is fishy...

If you are able to do some sleuthing and can find a divorce matter online, see if he has attorney representation. If so, email or write that attorney and explain fully the situation. That may help rattle some cages to get your $$ back.

There is a huge difference threatening someone multiple states away by text and publicly posting his personal info online with a suggestion that others pay him a visit. The first one seems like a non serious threat. The latter might put you into another police investigation. Just be careful with what you say... Even if you didn't mean it, it is hard to read it any other way in good faith.

Posted here about him stealing $1,500 from me. Not sure where you got me suggesting others pay him a visit? Law enforcement will be paying him a visit. They will find his ass soon enough.
