said his pussy hurt, or throut or something!

it's all well and good that he's supposedly protecting his voice, but was way uncool for those of us there to see Doug and Reb. the way they went about quiting was just beyond uncool. sounds like he'd had problems before this show?

seems like they could have planned ahead and gave us some Doug and Reb going at it, while he took a breather?

Priest rocked pretty hard!

Surprising. I saw him a couple years ago, and he was singing better than ever. ...and he's an old school rock guy. I can't imagine him just bailing on a show unless he was really screwed.

Whitesnake have dropped out of all their remaining US live dates as support to Judas Priest, with frontman David Coverdale suffering lost-vocal-itis. The press release reads:

"Unfortunately, last night at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, Denver, Whitesnake had to cut their performance short due to Mr. Coverdale experiencing considerable pain in his vocal chords. He was immediately taken to a specialist for examination. The specialist discovered that David was suffering from severe vocal fold edema and a left vocal fold vascular lesion. He was instructed to cancel all performances for the next two weeks and then undergo a further examination. The doctors told us we were fortunate this was caught at a stage where no apparent permanent damage has been caused. We therefore regretfully have to announce that Whitesnake will not be appearing on the remainder of the US tour with JUDAS PRIEST, Whitesnake sincerely regrets any disappointment this may cause."
Judas Priest and Pop Evil, will perform extended sets to make up for the absence of Whitesnake.

extended Priest set, I for one wouldn't be crying! Doug is always good to watch(hear) but it would be way cooler to see him with Dio IMHO..oh did I mention that I have? :D

yea i was defenantly there more for Priest, but was pretty excited to see Doug and Reb play!

had heard Doug and Reb were doing a guitar battle type solo trade off.

don't know what they opened with but Doug was tearing it up, and then really no flash on the next 3 songs. Reb was kindda down in the mix and never got a chance to show his stuff.

Whitesnake Blues jam in A for 45 min??!???

If Sykes was playing with them he could have just told Coverdale to go home and finished the set himself :D

guess i'm close by redneck standards, but i'm still a ways from Denver. this was actually my first Red Rocks show. i've been to lots of shows there, but never Red Rocks for some reason?

damn sure gotta be one of the coolest places to see a show?

I saw Whitesnake bout a month ago with ratt. whitesnake was a shit ton better than ratt but coverdale did not sound like his voice could handle what he had created years past vocally. by the way for those who wanna know. Doug whooped Reb's ass in the solo battle.

Saw WS last year on Graspop/Belgium and I gotta say Coverdale was on the top of his game, his voice was amazing and his stage presence so strong as it could only have been from a very experienced guy like him.

The only thing that disturbed me was that his teeth were too perfect and too white, they looked obviously not like his real ones.

He was lip synching anyway...... :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:

Steve
 Actually no, DC doesn't lip sync. That's WS keyboard player, Timothy Drury's vocal work.

When I saw Whitesnake in Hanover last october Coverdale was obviously lip syncing (the microfone was pointing towards the floor but his voice came out of the p.a.), the crowd got pissed and someone threw a plastic water cup on stage. Coverdale got pissed off and the band left the stage soon after. Played about 40 minutes or so, the highlight being the Doug and Reb who absolutely killed.

So: Doug and Reb
Coverdale  :gay: :gay: :uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :bleh:
