Got this M-I via GC used and dig it but it has this crack in the headstock. How serious of a problem could this be in the future? Is this a “absolutely rerun it and don’t look back” situation?
I mean it's GC. The only reason you buy there is the return policy. Back it goes. Why should you spend a couple hundred to have CA worked into the crack and lose several hundred more in resale value when you can make your problem go away for free?
There's lots of Mirages in the world.
Unless they make it worth your whileCan’t disagree with any of this. Problem is I’ve bonded with it a bit over the past few weeks. But yea it needs to just go back
It’ll only get worse and never get better.
My tired ass read it as "Crackhead in the Stock" and went, "Yeah, that's a problem."I read the title and thought, wow, they’re getting creative with smuggling now.
How deep is it. Looks like a lacquer crack in the pics….
Bring it to a luthier and let him glue it before it gets worse.
Yes, very true. When you get a good one, don't let it go.Well in my mind, it’s not really mine yet. It’s on loan from GC til I decide. It’s not a model that is hard to replace- it’s current production but I’ve played this game before. You get another one and it just ain’t the same as the first one you had.

A luthier should be able to tell if it is in the wood or if it in the clearcoat.Bring it to a luthier and let him glue it before it gets worse.
When you bond with a guitar and it just fits and feels good... you know it, so I get what you are saying.Well in my mind, it’s not really mine yet. It’s on loan from GC til I decide.
