Given the latest BS and the possible fake AI video promoting their strings they may have possibly made do you care...... It doesn't seem like it's been definitely proven either and in either case it doesn't affect the quality, tone and sound of said product......


But on the other hand true or not are you going to stop using them, does it matter to you and what will you use as an alternative or what do you use vs D'Addario


Honest here I don't care and I'ma keep using them. iMO great strings and great quality and that is all that matters to me but understand others who may not agree.

I do think there is a HUGE risk of cultural and intellectual stagnation as more art and science is produced by AI, and therefore more of what AI is trained on is produced by AI. So there's trouble ahead, but D'Addario's marketing department is a symptom not a cause.

What if it's an amp company? Instead of demoing the actual amp, they use generative AI to create a completely fake demo of the amp. A 100% fake audio track of the "amp". Or an AI-created video of a fake person playing a fake guitar into a fake amp. 100% zeros and ones. They claim the audio/video is real. But it's AI.

What about an amp company selling their new amp by using a demo track created from an IR or Kemper profile? Still no real amp. But it was profiled from some other amp and tweaked a bit. This time, the audio is "cloned" from a real amp, but no AI involvement. They still claim the audio is the real amp. But you find out otherwise.

Where does one draw the line with a company that lies to make a buck?
