This is the type of extreme labeling and name calling, although generally applied to other forum members, that gets you the grief you’ve been receiving. If you had simply said “Damn, frozen blueberries can kill you. Eat your pancakes plain”, you’d likely get some interaction. Not everything has to be a rant.

No difference between carbon tube, copper and silver cables according to Indy. Never mind anyone having experience with CCA or OFC in a car stereo. People spend tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands on solid silver cables for no reason. The guys spending millions of dollars to have silver rigs don't know what they're doing. Better call Indy for advice with his rig worth thousands of dollars.

In some cases you don't have to spend so much on Silver cables and Sommer makes some as well as some others.

Sommer has the Silver Spirit and cost around the same as their other cables but yes it makes a difference. Its very smooth and detailed, granular sound with all frequencies boosted but still soft and supple with a lot of give and chew to bite into.


When it comes to guitar cables a lot of stuff that is using different materials can be had for a reasonable price. There is tin for example, copper of course, silver and more pricey gold plated wire etc etc and other stuff too most likely NVM the jacket materials too..... Different materials will affect the tone and overall performance and this is why different materials are used by manufacturers depending on what the desired tone is in mind. They are essentially designing the tone/signal for ones rig/gear.


Silver definitely makes a difference and different materials make a difference.

Aside from that what I was trying to say is that you don't need to spend a whole lot on cables either to get a quality cable and in either case materials make a difference too. In Canada Sommer is available easily too and yeah the Silver Spirits can be bought in bulk or premade and can ship out to the states too.
