The mods stopped it on their own. They posted a sticky. They deleted the three threads involved. It was Justcrash. Dave and I worked it out in a PM. I said things, other people said things it was brutally ugly on all sides. My personal info was posted which really set me off. There were about ten of you over there that came in to every thread I was in and tried to get me to explode just like you all did in this thread. It happened a lot.

It all happened and now it's over. Maybe you can get over it now. Maybe you guys can quit stalking me someday. Just maybe.

I am unaware that TGP has any problem with me whatsoever. The forum is heavily moderated so problems never escalate. I will be seeing many of the forum members at the Amp show in LA. I was doing fine at Rig Talk until this thread.

Look I'm sorry for anything I ever typed that offended or hurt you. Really. When attacked, I fought back and as I stated, to my shame. I probably won't stop posting about how great the Kemper and Axe are though, I just love the new tech that much. But you guys are right, it doesn't really belong on tube amp forums like HC or here. I get that now.

That being said I did buy a tube amp stack. Rockmaster pre with a Classic 60 power amp and two 12 cabs. Pretty nice.

Agreed. I'm on the fence though, as I actually own and use and appreciate the Axe-II. But it's a different headspace when shootin' shit about gear with "gear based musicians" versus shooting the shit, er, no, wait, you can't SPEAK like that with Fractal cats... Ahem. Let me rephrase: it's a different headspace when "speaking about the technical and sonic merits of the highly acclaimed and absolutely mind boggling omnipotence that is the Axe-II".

I sense a lot of pressed office dress when speaking to that bunch.

i've had my kemper for a few months, and haven't had a problem yet. i have managed to crash it a couple of times with its beta versions, but thats about it.

i do think it is a bit more fragile than my axe fx was - the knobs are a little too long and plastic for me to totally trust them.

Hey guys, no need to get tense. I'm just asking a basic question about the dependability of each unit based on experience. I think both units sound pretty impressive. I'm leaning toward the Kemper only because it does appear to meet my specific needs more than the Axe -BUT- that does not mean that I think one is better than the other. Asking about dependability is just me dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Oh yeah, I changed the title of this tread to remove the "Verses" part.

Intended use, preferred workflow, preferred interface -the importance of these factors can't be overstated. The Kemper and AxeFX are very different in form factor, interface, workflow, etc. They're both capable of providing amazing tones and both appear to be very well built (no evidence that either has build quality issues at this point).I'd say pick the one that sounds best to you and seems to best fit your intended use and preferred form factor / interface.

It's a shame that there's so much division online between Kemper and AxeFX users. These units have more common ground than differences (digital signal processing, tube amp emulation, ideal for direct to FOH and recording direct, etc.).

It's not the equipment that matters -it's how it is employed.

The Kemper profile sharing seems cool. I like the idea of midi presets for an amp. Having that for 20 different slices of an amp is good.

Not sure I would ever sell the couple decent amps I own. Could be complete gig magic though with a Kemper. Model my favs, copy a few others. What's not to like about that. Seems like a great idea. There are no massive shit storms of reliability.

Axe-change (exchange) has been pretty helpful for me - I love the new presets everyone is uploading.

I like the tech of the Axe-II, it's pretty amazing what it can do - but ya, there's a lot of fiddlin' to get you where ya wanna go.
