Unexpected NAD - 97ish Mesa Tremoverb 2x12

DUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!
The effects loop sux!!!!!
Even with nothing in the loop, and a cable intserted into the send/return jacks, it sux.
It neuters the ballz of the amp, affecting the feel and low end in a most negative way.

Can't seem to locate info I had found, on how to change the effects loop to series, that also mentioned removing a capacitor that is responsible for the "lack of bass" tone change.
I think the TOV mod may be different than a Rev G Dual Rec, because of the trem/reverb circuit.
PLEASE, anyone that knows, share the info how to mod the TOV effects loop to not be such a tone sucker. And/or how to bypass the trem/verb circuit.

I was going to compare a whole bunch of speakers, but am thinking that it won't make a huge difference in the open-back combo.
I was planning on trying an H75/V30 mix and 2 Scumback BM75LDs.
I'm not sure it's worth it.

I think the differences in the speakers will be revealed if I do these 2 things:
1. Turn off the effects loop. It's a massive tone sucker. Absolutely needs modded.
2. Use real mics at louder volume.

Will experiment and get back to this.

A lot of the Rectos for years used a capacitor on the loop return that is too small, so it doesn't pass the lows at as low of a frequency as it needs. Many people convert the loop the serial, but that doesn't fix it. It just means the amp always less bass and you can't compare anymore.

There is 2.2uF Tantalum Capacitor on the cathode of the loop return tube gain stage. Change that to 10uF or larger. That will allow lower frequencies to return from the loop. I upgraded my Triple Recto years ago. I left the loop parallel, but now when I turn the loop and and off I can barely hear a difference.

My Tremoverb was a early one from 1994. The loop makes the amp a bit darker. The bass doesn't change.

The Triple Rectifier G was one of the last ones made in 1999. The loop has no effect on the sound.
