I am republican anyway so I do not buy into the liberal belief that you take from the working man to give to the lazy bastard. I do not trust him or his wife based on my own research and watching him, those are my opinions just as you have yours.
Politics aside this is prehaps the most horrible and ridiculous thing I have read in sometime.
You claim to go to Church? Well I'm not aware of a religion that doesn't preach some form of charity to those elss fortunate! What's wrong with government regulating that? Especially in vases of disability or mental issues? What happened to reducing homelessness? It's all very well to say a homeless person should go get a job, but whose going to hire them! It's a vicious cycle, I can't understand why your advocating the government stand by and watch millions of people within America starve when they could spend a little to help them enormously. To me thats ghastly!
Nosebleed - I don't think anyone in the US wants to see "millions" of Americans starving but it's exactly the government regulations that many of us are against. Our government hasn't done a very good job of fixing our homeless issue since the great depression and have broken the peoples trust. Our government currently doesn't sit by and watch as "millions" starve they actually spend millions in social programs to try and correct poverty, they just waste a lot of it on poor judgement and missmanagement. I'm not sure I'd agree that there are "millions" of homeless people in the US anyway but I don't have the stats to say for sure. The main problem with Obama (beside not having a real plan) in my opinion is he's a believer in redistribution of wealth. Taxing people and "giving" it to the poor in poorly managed social programs hasn't worked in this country for the last 40 years, so giving more makes no sense to me. In the end the ultra rich never really get hurt by it, but it does kill those of us who are in the low six figure bracket. The government considers us "wealthy", yet if you live in a state like NJ, you will not be living large on a salary between 100 to 200 thousand.
What we need in the office is a free thinker, and I don't believe Obama is that guy.
