Hi everyone,

I bought one of the new Diezel Rearloaded 4x12 cabinets (along with a FL) about two months ago with Vintage 30 speakers in it. I thought V30s were the only option (as far as rearloaded goes) for the music I play, which is hard rock/heavy metal. Now, I read that the hemp cones (ToneTubby?) seem to be capable of these tones as well. Maybe someone can help me out deciding if I should keep the V30s or put the hemp cones in it. What is the difference soundwise? And where can I get them in Germany?

For the frontloaded cabinet I like the V30 with my Herbert, but a little less with my VH4

Thanks,
Markus

G12K100 will solve the front loaded issues. The Hemp cones sound fantastic. They are a US speaker. They may be available via a distributor but I am unaware of that. We get ours from CA. They have a wonderful sound to them and they are crisp and articulate. They provide a warmth and fullness that is terrific. They can really handle low end and they don't get flubby. I feel the Hemp sounds best in rear loaded and the g12K in a front loaded. I do not like them in reverse combinations....but that is me (and Peter Stapfer as well). I hope this helps answer your questions :)

Terry - do you sell the new hemp cone speakers? Or can we get them from someone else? How much $?

I don't have any right now but am getting some. I am waiting to hear back on pricing, bare with me :)

Wild guess would be TT Alnico 10", but I'm pretty sure they were black....

I'm sure its a 12". $299 is the price for one 12" hemp cone speaker on the Tone Tubby site. :scared:

Yes....they are not cheap but they sure do sound good with the new construction and design.

What about the ceramic version of the speaker? Are they equally good in tone? Have you tried them? They look interesting because they are way cheaper ;)

damn, if i would bring a hemp-loaded cab into the rehearsal room, for sure our singers would set the whole thing on fire to get wasted. :aww:
