Dimarzio Megadrive Pickup?

Its like that old petrucci pickup- very touchy on where the bar is place in the direction upon placing in a guitar

How would you compare the Crunch Lab to the D Sonic? I have experience with a Crunch Lab. At the end of the day, which Dimarzio would be close to a Duncan SH-5 pickup?

I hated the Crunch Lab, personally. Very blunt and thuddy. Petrucci seems to like that, though. His picks are also like that.

Anyone here have experience with the Dimarzio Megadrive (DP107) pickup? For some reason this looks like a pickup I might like. How would it be for 80's 90's thrash metal with a little bit of Death mixed in?

I have them on Les Paul Stratocaster‘s Charvel‘s Jackson’s. I love them. Total EVH without knob contest
