I really like the way the old Gibson Dirty Fingers pickups sound. The new ones don't sound nearly as good to me. Are there any smaller companies making their version of this pickup?

Bareknuckle makes the cold sweat but it's a little lower output and only has one row of adjustable pole peices. I bet they could make a custom one closer to the real thing.

You’re absolutely correct. I bought reissue Dirty Fingers years ago and it just didn’t have it. Then I happened into a Shaw era set. They bring the goods

I played them in a 335 about 20 years ago and thought it was strange to have those pickups in a 335. I just remember them being very powerful.

Lasse Lambert has a video comparing the DF to a 498T and a 500T and they weren't that different but...clips r clips.

I've heard comparisons with the 500T and the Dirty Fingers. They are close, yet the Dirty Fingers has a little something else.
