Thinking of swapping pickups in my 594. Recommendations?

I have a par of 594’s. Both have those 58/15 LT’s which I really like. My Burst sounds like a killer LP, so thinking I should change them in my other to get more of a hot rodded LP tone for a different flavor. I would say one of my favorite les paul tones is probably the 1987 Whitesnake album, which I know was dirty fingers. Any recommendations?

Man, sweet axes! I liked the 85/15's quite a bit. If I'm not mistaken the newer custom 24-08's have TCI 85/15's which would be my PRS pickup of choice.

If you want to stick with PRS, the Metal \m/ pickups are great. Good bite, not overly aggressive but definitely hot rodded.

Others to consider that I’ve tried in PRS guitars; DiMarzio Evolutions, BKP Cold Sweat, Painkiller and Silo. Tom Anderson HF and H series, DiMarzio Super Distortion, SD Custom 5 and Black Winters
All sounded great and give good bite with those mahogany guitars

Not sure I'm digging 85/15s so far, but everyone seems to love them so I'm sticking with them for now. I'd love to try the pickups in the DGT but they don't sell them aftermarket AFAIK.

I enjoy the 36th anni/at-1 combo in my PRS. Whatever you decide on, just be sure to clip out the prs treble bleed.

I always recommend calling up Planet Tone and seeing what they can come up with for you.

If you're gonna switch the PRS pickups out, make sure and snip out the treble bleed unless you put PRS pickups in aftermarket

I think this is a great recommendation. The PRS I have with \m/ pickups is very flexible and just generally sounds good. Lots of bit like you say.

85/15 LT are excellent pickups. One of the most dynamic pickups, clarity is insane and they still have enough push. I have one in '25 S2 Standard and recently replaced bridge pickup for WCR Godwood which added bit more lower mids and tame highs to resemble LP sound as I use it as LP backup.
There are so many pickups to choose from but for hotrodded LP sound I would follow 12-14k ohm A5 models like 498T, BKP Rebel Yell, even the old HFS or Dragon 1 will work when we talk about PRS.

57/08s and \m/ pickups are my favorites. I have disliked every guitar that had any version of the 85/15, 58/15 pickups.

If you’re going to stick with a set of PRS pickups, go with 57/08 in neck and 59/09 in the bridge.

This is one of the most recommended pairings per the PRS forum.

I personally have a set of 57/08’s in my ‘94 PRS Custom 24 Goldtop, and they sound really good.

I dunno, I'd be as happy with a sweet PRS as I would a sweet Les Paul. Both killer axes. The upper fret access on a PRS is kinda nice though.
