Orange cloned to Modern is where it's at for me. With every Recto I've had...from G to C. The earlier the better for the Red....kinda clinical/sterile but cool for that sound.
But, I did just get a new blackout Triple.
Holy shit.
It's freaking great. Like, better than every Mesa including the C I had which WAS the best Mesa I've played. This amp, I can dial the red almost identical to the Orange modern. Both are super 3D/Rich/organic sounding and this Red is by far the best red of any of them. The feel of this amp is amazing.
They aren't cheap, but if you dig Rectos you need to at least test drive one at a local shop at some point.
