You probably could get away without routing if you slightly shim the neck. You'll have to raise the Floyd a bit and you can just block it with a trem stop/similar. I think you'll be good to go after that.yea i found some promod mexican charvels but they'd need to be routed to fit the dtuna

Here's one. Just block it and buy the D-Tuna. It should be top mounted already.Hmm that’s a good thought!

Only thing to note is they are 24.75" scale, vs. 25.5".Wow Kramer is really ringin the register with the specs!

It's just that model. It's Gibson scale, and just a hair over Gibson radius at 12-1/2". I almost bought one a couple times, I do like the specs.Dude that is perfect lololol I didn’t even realize that would be an option!

Get an old one like mine.Any build quality concerns? Seems like they’re made in Indonesia so probably best to get one in hand
My brother had a blue "84" that was Indonesian, and it was a great playing guitar, no issues. I almost bought one of those at one point too, but I don't like top mount Floyd's, so there's that. If I wanted a D-Tuna, I'd go for a Wolfgang, but I don't need 24 frets either. I play a Charvel So Cal now.Any build quality concerns? I don't know, I would check ebay. I paid less than 1k for this one but it was a while ago.lol no way I’m getting one under $1k unless I get a Time Machine first
Gorgeous guitar though!

I think these older ones were made in Japan, so I don't think they ever had a big price tag.Man anything from the 1900s these days is just stupidly priced…I’ll definitely look but won’t hold my breath![]()
If it was just a matter of having 24 frets and light trem use with drop-D capabilities, I'd personally go with a Charvel DK24 with the Gotoh, and just block it for dive only, and drop-D with the tuner since there's no locking nut. I had this one, and actually loved it. The Full Shreds sounded really nice in it.. I sold it to get another SG. You can find them used pretty reasonably priced. There’s a yellow mahogany dinky charvel makes but it’s a floating trem…love the look and specs
