The first page is boring as hell. It just gives a biography about him, what he's doing, and how he's looking forward to Japan blah blah blah. The interesting parts are the From LA: Joe's, so I'll translate (give a rough summary) those to the best of my ability.
First, it starts off with the two "extremely worn" Fender guitars. The author says that the 1973 Sunburst Fender was gotten on the tour (or right before) with Ozzy when they went to Hollywood. It then goes on about how roughly he treated the guitars, how he had no qualms about modding them, and stuff like that. It says there's a Jackson J-80 in the bridge with original "rewound" singles in the neck (and I'm assuming middle, even though they didn't mention anything about it). The floyd is set to float with a little bit of pull-up. It talks a little about the tuning issues of a floating bridge, too.
Next, they talk about the 1971 White Fender, which was gotten on the second half of the Ozzy tour. The bridge pickup is a J-80 and the neck is a Duncan SSL-5 (again, no mention of the middle). He apparently got influenced by Jake E Lee. The neck on the 71 was thinner than the 73. It then goes on to say that one of the necks was made exactly like the other, because he preferred one, but I can't tell if the 71 neck was replaced with a 73 neck shape, or if the 73 was replaced with the 71 neck shape. I'm pretty sure the 71 was replaced for a neck that was the same as the 73, though. Sorry if that sounds confusing. The necks also were stripped and have an oil finish on them.
He's got a 63 SG because he likes Frank Marino, a Black 74 LP Custom w/ T-Tops, a 68 Gold Top (present from Ozzy), and finally a 41 Martin 000-18 "Pre War" guitar (which he's got as an impulse buy).
I'll translate part 2 a little later. I know this is a lot less than what they wrote, but most of the stuff is just talking about how he thinks the tone is great or how he thinks X guitar feels good, is reliable, etc. etc. I'm mainly just trying to highlight the major points.
