I have seen this a long time ago and coming back to it I was once again laughing right along with them.

Images and Words is Epic IMHO ... one of their best albums, but I'm a fan, although these days I listen to them in smaller quantities.

My only brush with Dream Theater fame: I was playing in a fairly popular cover / original band in the early 90s when Dream Theater came through town and played our 'bread-n-butter' watering hole. Owner of course gave us the opening slot. I was using a pair of Mesa Mark-IIIs at the time with those squat little mesa 4x12s split with a simple chorus pedal - and it really did sound huge. John Petrucci could not possibly have been genuinely nicer. He was so 'up' on my rig and how fat it sounded during our sound check. He was joking with his tech that he wanted to play through my rig for their set. After our set, we were wrapping cords like MF'ers trying to get out of their way and John comes up pointing at my heads and cabs and says: 'no no - leave those right where they are!' Of course he was joking. But after their set, they told us all to stay for load out and bought after show drinks. Super cool, genuine guys.
