Would love to hear this through a good set of V30s.

How does it sound compared to your triple rec mods?
THIS.

If it's Recto based, then this is the answer. Mesa and Marshall know what they're doing when it comes to cabs that fit their products.

I played the amp. I think it sounds good. 100% sounds like a modded recto.

Keeping the gain at around 11 o clock keeps it plenty tight. But it’s not super saturated. If you crank the gain up, the low end starts getting loose quickly.

I preferred the gain set low, to keep it tight, and then add the on-board boost for the saturation.

I’m pretty picky with modern amps but this one was cool.

Here’s an iPhone clip of me jamming on it:

Everyone likes to give people grief about miking a cab.

Then we find iphone clips that sound 100x better than a miked cab clip

Regarding the amp it sounds anemic like it sounds small. It has low end but it’s far from massive. I hate amps that the low end gets loose and mushy as the gain is cranked up but I know some people want that as a feature so that they can then tune around it with pedals before the amp and in the loop.

I give that clip 2 1/2 toes out of 10.

It'd be quite the FEAT if he were to make an accurate demo of how most people would use the amp. I'm assuming it was sent to him. He didn't FOOT the bill? I'd like a pic of the amp's FEET for potential stacking considerations. Maybe a room mic...about 10 FEET back and roughly six FEET off the floor.

If you're going for trashy tones, a Rev F Recto still could be described as muddy without a boost.

Seems like an interesting amp, but maybe will have its legs cutout from under it with Mesa's new Triple announced at the same time.

Yeah, that didn’t make me think any better of it. Tight is all it has going on. There’s just no tone to it. Which makes a lot of sense when I think about how boring metal guitar tones have been for as long as Mark Lewis has been producing.
It might as well be part of a producer sim pack or drum software suite.

I know I looked him up. Black Dahlia Murder is a cool one for me. Just trying to be funny. I actually think the amp sounded great even in Reza's video.

Nah man I totally get it, not everyone is into that side of things, totally understandable

Here’s a clip of a Marshall with an SLO type circuit in it that I did. It’s from today. Similar circuit to a recto, but there are differences such as filtering etc…

Interested to hear opinions on this one on whether or not you’re hearing the same things.

I don’t think that sounds good at all. It’s got this super concentrated nasally top end and zero bottom end. I know for a fact you’re capable of dialing in amps better than that and that video misses it by a mile.

Like what @DanTravis62 said those speakers are only good for cleans and absolutely not a good representation for high gain at all.

The dude is a complete cork sniffer that thinks the only things that are good are super expensive: like those dumbass speakers. Granted, we all own stuff here that is relatively expensive for sure don’t get me wrong, but the super gay expensive speakers, Ken Lawrence guitars, and everything else he uses, it’s all a status. Yet, he’s so fucking insecure he had to go cry about my post about him. What a fucking dweeb.

Has Reza ever played one fucking coherent riff in any of the videos he's ever done? I swear his rhythm playing is so erratic and all over the place that I don't recall offhand him ever getting past the 'and four' section of a typical 4/4 riff passage. Therefore I guess doubling is out of the question lol???
