I have zero problems with Reza himself and love his passion for recording videos for others and documenting really cool amps. I just hate his preference in speakers for high gain or whatever post processing he’s doing.

Yeah same, ive had nothing but good encounters with Reza but I know what to expect with his videos. Dude can rip a guitar for sure and loves those speakers. Is what it is. Just have to learn it like your monitors

I’m sure mark will explain better eventually, but clearly the amp was a big, if not the biggest hit at NAMM for a reason. Mark just can’t stand amps that are super tight upfront. In his eyes it leaves him with no room to change a lot of the things he looks for when getting guitar tones. Again, maybe it doesn’t make sense when I say it like this, when we hear it properly and not by someone like reza, I bet it’ll all make a lot more sense.

Honestly I have amps I want for that exactly . Other amps for super tight . My whole thing is when I jam live I blend 1 of each type of these differbt heads always . It’s a blend for my needs

I looked him up. I recognize the names of 3 or 4 of the bands on his resume. And of those, I've only heard songs from two of them. And of those, I'm only a fan of one of them. I don't know the names of producers or mixers or engineers. I guess I'm not cool enough lol. I just don't have the energy or care enough to research that kind of thing.

Didn't Headfirst do a signature amp for Joe Barresi? I first learned his name from his work with Tool. What's next... a signature amp for the guy who works the sound booth?

Signature gear is typically for people who want to get that sound... the sound of their idols. Some 17-year-old has a poster on his wall of a band, so he buys the guitarist's signature guitar. But a signature amp from someone who uses other amps that anybody can get from Guitar Center? I don't get it. A producer loves using Rectifiers. So he has a signature amp from another company? And I'm supposed to know who he is and want to buy that amp instead of the amp he actually used on all his famous records? Huh?

Well that said, someone posted a video in here the other day all about tonewoods, this guy was analyzing the truth and the fallacies of the claims by people about different tonewoods. During that he talks about how YouTube and the transfer sound through all these different mediums just to bring it to YouTube and then have YouTube compress it and do their thing with it. He said this technology was not intended to any kind of audio analysis at all so when people play this guess the amp game, no wonder you can't hear the difference and they all sound the same. It's impossible, sure big jarring differences you may be able to tell but nuances forget about it.
So Reza's just throwing his shit down a fucking shithole.
He can do whatever and it's all going to sound like the same shit. In the room there is a big difference I'm sure, but you ain't gonna hear it. Being some kind of an audio engineer you think he'd know that and he wouldn't waste his time, but it's Reza.
He should be doing something useful like Carl suggested, demoing suicide vests. Again Carl nailed it. Ran that whiny punk off this site too. Good.

I shouldn’t have done that either. I’m sure he’s a good guy. He’s passionate about gear. He likes to make demos, nothing wrong with any of that.
