It has to be as good as the Eleven plugin and it works and feels pretty good at low volumes. I never thought it had the feel as good as the Axe FX but it did fine and much better than Amplitube or Guitar Rig. I thought Revalver III by Peavey was better however.
Don't give up and I am betting it will work for your needs. And if you play live with tube amps you get something with this you would not get with the Axe FX and that is a pro tools interface which is pretty cool and fun to record with.
Keep us updated and good luck!!
Yeah I just got a set of M Audio Studiophile BX8a Deluxe monitors. I needed a really good set for mixing anyway and these sound pretty good with the Eleven. Ive spent some more time with it and I had some tones going on that were good tonally and feel wise enough to use and I was having fun playing. If they recorded well and I can use my M13 with it for more effects I'll hang on to it for awhile. Honestly I dont think I'll ever be completely satified with a digital preamp but this works and the feel of it's better than what I've used before with plug ins and Line 6. I may try an Axe sometime when the right deal comes along since they say the feel of that one is good too.
My biggest gripe with it is right now the amp choices and effects are very limited.
