I consider them a premium when I sell them to have the original box.

Yeah, it’s def the resale value for sure. I have some that came in hard cases (wooden boxes) and that wouldn’t be smart to get rid of lol.

I used to keep them, like others have said they're nice to have for resale. I just got sick of them taking up space in the closet

I used to keep them, even for pedals that have long since been sold. I had vintage boxes for pedals I never even owned. When I moved, I packed up 3 big boxes of empty pedal boxes. I ended up crushing them and recycling them all. Any extra pedal boxes I get now are used for tool organizers in my toolboxes.

Toolbox organizers... That's a really good idea. I may have to start using that

People buy those boxes even if you don't have the pedal - makes the pedals worth more for resale.

I got a pedal in a wrong box once. I bought a Fortin Zuul and it came in a box from a Stone Deaf Noise Reaper, like the guy bought the NR to replace the Zuul and just stuck it in that box. It bothers me to have the box and not the pedal so much.

Maybe I should sell it on Reverb.

what JAM pedals are you running ??? I have yet to try any of their stuff ..... and that new Vibe they came out with is pretty sick

I do, but honestly I should go through and throw most of them out. Once I’ve kept a pedal for a year, that’s usually a sign that it isn’t going anywhere.

yes i keep them. i but i only have about a dozen so its not a clutter issue

i also keep amp boxes for the warranty period just in case it has to go back to the mfg for repairs

I currently have a Ripple and double Waterfall. I had their Lucydreamer in the past as well.
I really want to try that vibe too, yeah.

The Ripple is good but nothing has displaced my MXR Phase 90 script. The Waterfall is good.
