Empty Pedal Boxes

I never have kept the boxes. Even after I learned the benefit of box with resale I just didn't fool with it.

I'm also the redneck that gets a used pedal in the mail from GC, and if it still has velcro on it I'm like "he'll yeah velcro included" lol

I currently have a Ripple and double Waterfall. I had their Lucydreamer in the past as well.
I really want to try that vibe too, yeah.

The Ripple is good but nothing has displaced my MXR Phase 90 script. The Waterfall is good.

FatBee is good. It can be really subtle or give you some nice dirt/overdrive. My friend has a Zzombee and one of their other weirder pedals and loves them both. They’re definitely funky. I keep my eyes peeled for their 420 pedals that have pot themed art cause I’m a dweeb.

Fuck you for trying to give me a new hobby! I'm not falling for it!

I got a pedal in a wrong box once. I bought a Fortin Zuul and it came in a box from a Stone Deaf Noise Reaper, like the guy bought the NR to replace the Zuul and just stuck it in that box. It bothers me to have the box and not the pedal so much.

Maybe I should sell it on Reverb.
Then start collecting ! It’s fun . I literally put them on my wall in my jam room lol they get seen lol

Got 2 tupperware bins full of boxes... strangely enough, the lack of desire for digging out the boxes has kept me from posting a bunch of pedals for sale.

Posting shit for sale sucks.
I got an amp and like 7 guitars I need to sell.

Same. I have some phasers I need to sell. I need to go digging through the closet.

Mandatory. I don't buy pedals without boxes.

Except for extreme measures on drunken nights that my brain thinks it's the last one available on earth.......🍻

Gonna make an ebay listing of only boxes.
You might be surprised at what fools will pay.

I had a hang tag from a 60's jag once that I listed on ebay for $65. Five minutes after it listed I had a dude pm'ing me lowball offers of $45. Dead giveaway. It sold less than a day later for $65, lol. This one was listed at $85 three months ago and sold, same tag:

My new phaser showed up last night without a box. It was just a pedal in a shipping envelope. I'm trying to be okay with that.

What happens when they've put the wrong part of the velcro on the pedal? I always put the fuzzy stuff on the pedal board, and the hooky stuff on the bottom of the pedal. I've gotten used pedals before with the fuzzy stuff on them. It's like a couple of hairy girls scissoring.

It's astounding how vividly I can picture exactly what you are describing.

Lol, I use dual lock on all my boards. And one recent pedal purchase came with two sorry clear pieces of dual lock on it. Took those off and replaced with larger black pieces of dual lock. I’m weird.

That's I quandary I've not encountered, but definitely needs some careful consideration.

If I got a pedal with fuzzy side on the pedal, I would be very concerned and likely think about what other anti-social degeneracy the previous owner was involved in.

I mean, if they're operating in a mindset responsible for that, what else were they up to? Treason, private islands, bodies in a crawl space? Did they involve this fuzz velcro pedal in pedal orgies with dirty Mike and the boys?

To say I'd be cautious is an understatement. Only in cases where I saved a large amount of money on the used pedal would I consider keeping the pedal, talking like $20 saving type deal.

Apologies to any normal guitar playing human that does hook side on the board. My concerns are likely too monolithic, but I'm just protective of my totally rational value system.

I hope it goes without saying, but just in case anyone reads that and takes it seriously, it was satire and me trying (poorly) to be funny.
