Engl Blackmore or Engl Savage from those who played both?

I agree with everything that's been said about the savage vs Blackmore, but my recommendation and favorite Engl would be the Artist Edition. I found it to be the most open and organic of the Engl amps with a really great upper mid growl and I like it better than both the savage and Blackmore for leads

I play all my modern metal rhythm stuff on Ch 2 lead and "raw and ferocious" is a great way of putting it. Mean fucking sound for sure; can't get enough of that tone. So unbelievably tight and crunchy

I do the same on the Savage 60; Rhythm Gain to 2 'o clock, Lead Gain to 3 'o clock, Lead Boost on, Mids less than 1/3rd, Depth Boost on.
With that sound, you're immediately start making the face. You know the one...'mean', expression like something smells bad, yet you approve.

I want an amp that could not sound the same but get a similar vibe if I wanted to play some old school metalRacer X, Dokken, Deep Purple, Yngwie, Randy Rhoads,Loudness (AKIRA TAKASAKI), Jason Becker, Eddie Van Halen, Michael Schenker, Jimmy Page, Ted Nugent, Frank Marino, Accept Metallica and I of course cannot leave out the godfather of POWER METAL the man in black, RITCHIE BLACKMORE!

I have decided, I am going to order the ENGL SAVAGE and send back the ENGL BLACKMORE.

I hope I have no regrets!!!
