ESP Maverick is back

I'd love to have a 24.75" super strat. I might have to get the LTD. I've also considered the Kramer Night Swan but was always curious about the deal with that humbucker in middle position.. why'd they do that? I don't like it but maybe there is a good reason for it?

I've always liked the Night Swan and have thought about getting one of the new ones. I haven't, though, because I haven't seen one in a store and I'm a little weary of the quality. I know I could send it back, but is it worth the trouble? IDK

As for that middle HB with no neck pup? Who knows... everybody wanted something unique back then and a lot of it just didn't make sense, still doesn't

I would LOVE for somebody to make a good short-scale Super Strat! Wish Jackson or Charvel would bring back the Fusion... those were amazing! 25" is just not quite the same and a Floyd on a Les Paul? Not for me.

Just wish there were more options.

Not cheap but Tom Anderson's can be ordered in a Shorty scale (24.75").

Been thinking about those... I'd prefer a neck-thru, but TAs are the best of the best from what I've heard. The Li'l Angel looks just about right.

There are some 24.75” super strats out there but they’re not cheap.
My experiences:
Caparison Horus is 24.75” and very well built. I own 6 of them and when playing I can feel the guitar vibrate which is always a test for me of a well built guitar. They are 27 frets which moves the neck pickup back an inch or so, but their SH-27F pickup was designed just for that placement and sounds good. Buy used and you can get better deals. New prices are crazy and have skyrocketed.

Tom Anderson Cobra S - I got one on trade several years ago.
Tom Anderson Arc Angel - just recently picked one up. Phenomenal guitar

Although PRS is not exactly super strat, they are only 25” scale and feels great to play.

Very cool, I actually have one of the ancient LTD neck thru versions that sadly never gets played these days.

What’s weird is there is a guitar store in Jakarta Indonesia with a bunch of Mavericks that are all 24.75” scale. I’m wondering if these were all custom orders or if there are Asia versions at 24.75”

Yeah they were probably ordered before the update since it's a model change just this year. Up until now it's been basically the same with the shape and number of frets, and heel joint being the only real main differences.
