That sounds great. I’d love a JTM45 or some derivative. The Bogner JB45 is supposed to be fantastic but I’ve never gotten to play one. He doesn’t make much that I don’t like…

Cool video; I find it nice that those old classic Marshall get a lot of com'/exposure and are sometimes "re-discovered" thanks to the recent years "home studio gear golden age" and related youtube videos boom.
That being said, not really the amp (or speaker in a 4x12) I would pick for that kind of music/sound. Fortunately this guitar must sound quite cutting/bitting to begin with.

I don't think I like any amp better for up to Malcolm Young levels of gain. Just the best glassy dirty tones that clean up to juicy cleans.

I had a JTM45 that was a turret board and had a PPIMV installed. It was sold as a Marshall but was probably a kit. I just could not get along with that thing. The bottom end flub was pretty annoying.

It's definitely not a tight amp, but that's the trade off for the richness it delivers imho. Not easy to go metal with one tho, I guess you need an EQ or a very, very good booster.

Those amps are not tight by any stretchy imagination. This little or no bright cap either dialing out the bass becomes a major pain in the ass.
I had the Marshall JTM 45 reissue years ago, and I had the Metropoulis Super- Plex too. Monstrous low end that I could not dial out, drove me crazy.

That being said, I’m thinking about the Marshall ST20, after watching Greg Koch get amazing sounds with his.
