EV speakers in Diezel cab?

I've got a frontloaded 412 Diezel cab on the way (thanks Daron!) It was purchased at a GC and has EV speakers in it. The fine folks at GC told the seller that the speakers were custom made for Diezel. Anybody got any info about these speakers?

they are most likely Eminence speakers..not EV. leave to GC employees to now shit as usual.. :lol: :LOL:
 
They are Custom Diezel speakers with a baseline from Eminence for Peter. I have 2 4x12 Diezel cabs with a x-pattern of Custom Diezel and V30s.

So then the cab I'm getting is probably one of the older US made ones?
 
Couldn't tell unless you post a pic of the guts.

BTW - my cabs are simply amazing sounding. Very punchy, focused and smooth at the same time - love it to death.

Most likely, doubt someone retro fit a new cab with the no longer available old speakers.
 
I hated those Eminence Diezel speakers. Replace them with v30s and you'll have a killer sounding cab.

New cab is here and sounds awesome! I popped the input jack plate and snuck a look inside. Sure enough, the guys over at GC didn't know what they were talking about, the speakers are Eminence. Thinking about leaving two in and putting a couple of EV12Ls in (my favorite speaker) Anybody else here use 12Ls with their Diezels?

i have 2 deltapro 12A (eminence similar at EV) in 4X12 cabinet
i like it, good bass hot and big mid , few high
tomorrow i recording some clip
