Not what this thread is about, but I remember when I went acoustic shopping. The way you go about it is polar opposite of electric. You play and listen. The action, feel, all that shit is secondary to the tone.

With electric it is trying to find a guitar that feela effortless.

Definitely. Two of the same model can sound vastly different. Playability is still important. too. What acoustic(s) do you have?

Playability is fun. I have played some acoustics with killer actions

However, i bought a d18 and havent adjusted the stock "high" action.

Pretty sure they only do that to leave the final set up to the end user.

This is exactly how I go about my electric guitars too and imo how it should be done. It seems most judge electric guitars like judging a restaurant super critically on everything but how the food actually tastes

I have very strong hands, so the fretting isnt an issue, and i play heavy so i hate super low actions. Acoustic is mostly rhythm for me to sing to with a lick here or there
