I've owned 2 PV wolf's and an EBMM axis. I liked the necks on the PV's more. The new EVH wolf has really tiny frets (I like jumbo frets and scallops) and the new neck didn't bond well with me. If price isn't an issue and you're a "VH nut", I'd look into getting a Wayne Rock Legend or Hydra. Before Mr. Charvel sold "Charvel guitar repair" to Mr. Jackson, he was making guitars for eddie. That's where the Bumblebee and Frankie came from.

Don't forget about the post-EVH era Peaveys. I've got an HP Special CT and it's fantastic. Cosmetically the quilt is nice, but neck is loaded with birdseyes. The thing plays like a dream and they can be had relatively cheaply.

I agree 100%. The Peavey HP Carve Top Specials are fantastic guitars! They're way better then the Wolfgang Peavey's IMO. Here's mine and it's the best sounding/playing guitar I have!
