F UPS!! How to get a repair cost on used AX8?

Now UPS wants me to get a 'repair cost' on my AX8 that I bought! :doh:

This has been a friggin joke with them! And how the hell do I get a repair quote?? Though the Fractal Audio stuff is amazing, their customer support seems non-existent!

Anyone have any ideas so I can expidite this claim? I just want my damn money back..or a hefty refund being that I'll never be able to sell it for anywhere what I paid for it with a big ass dent in the casing.

I've never had an issue before, and hope this never happens again. This sucks!

Do you know an amp tech or shop that can write you up a repair estimate even if it is bogus. Just make sure it will cost allot to fix? I would offer them $10.00 for the estimate and tell them why.
Unfortunately you have no choice but to go through the motions with them if you want to win the claim. They will probably deny you anyway but then will go to an outside company for review who will contact you and request more info.. They try to wear you down hoping you give up.

Fractal has a very organized returns/repairs program and the forum (I'm on there all the time) has tons of helpful folks. Guaranteed you can get an answer there.

I did just that, thanks. I was a bit overwhelmed at first with having to register and go through the email process. I much prefer to talk directly to customer service

At any rate, I followed all instructions and hope to have this resolved soon
 
PM Mark Day. I believe he works for Fractal and I'd imagine he could expedite some inside repair support or at least provide direction?

Thanks, but at least it's functional so I can use it while doing the waiting game. I'd be really ticked if it was broke and UPS was dragging this out like they have been.

He is a decent dude. I'd have meesaged him long ago for repair info.
